Variables
Every one of these has a default, so the piece works untouched. Set the ones you want to change on the element:| Variable | Default | Accepts | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|
tilt | standard | flat, standard, steep | How far the marquee plane leans back toward the horizon. |
travel | standard | short, standard, long | Scales the offset the timeline drives, so the strip covers a shorter or longer run in the same time. |
tone | ink | ink, paper, accent | Pill colour: ink for light frames, paper for dark ones, accent rides the brand token. |
words | COMPONENTS, PRIMITIVES, TRANSITIONS, AGENTS | string | Comma separated pill labels. The list is laid down twice so the strip still reads as a continuous loop. |
data-variable-values on the element that mounts it. These are the
defaults, so this behaves exactly like the preview above until you change one:
<div

Perspective Marquee - remocn typography primitive for HyperFrames.
Paste the markup and CSS into a composition. Drive the timeline integration
from a paused GSAP timeline so renders remain deterministic.
Variables. The script reads each one, falls back to the declared default on
anything missing or unrecognised, and writes the result as a custom property
the CSS above consumes. The timeline recipe below is untouched by them: it
keeps driving one horizontal offset, and these decide how far that offset
carries and what the strip looks like while it rolls.
- tilt (flat | standard | steep, default standard): how far the marquee
plane leans back toward the horizon. flat is almost head-on, steep sends
the strip deep into the frame.
- travel (short | standard | long, default standard): scales the offset the
timeline drives, so the strip covers a shorter or longer run in the same
time. short reads as a slow drift, long as a fast roll.
- tone (ink | paper | accent, default ink): pill colour. ink is near-black
with white type for light frames, paper near-white with dark type for
dark ones, accent rides the brand token.
- words (string, default COMPONENTS, PRIMITIVES, TRANSITIONS, AGENTS): the
comma separated list of pill labels. The list is laid down twice so the
strip still reads as a continuous loop.
On every default the result is identical to the original: four near-black
pills, laid down twice, rolling 360px left across an 18 degree tilt.
